Lumera ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your display name and, where available, your email address and profile photo. We do not store your Apple or Google password.

Wardrobe Data

• Photos of your clothing items that you add to your wardrobe
• Category, color, and season information for each item (classified automatically or manually)
• Thumbnail images created from your wardrobe photos

Body Photo

If you use the virtual try-on feature, you may upload a full-body photo. This is used solely to generate try-on previews and is stored securely on our servers.

Preferences

• Style preferences you select during onboarding or in your profile
• Saved outfits and outfit compositions

Usage Data

We may collect analytics and crash reports to improve the app. This may include device type, app version, and anonymized usage patterns.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the service: Store your wardrobe, generate outfit suggestions, and run virtual try-on using AI
• To personalize: Use your style preferences and wardrobe to tailor outfit recommendations
• To improve the app: Analyze anonymized usage data and crash reports

Third-Party Services

Lumera uses:

• Firebase (Google) — for authentication, database (Firestore), file storage, analytics, and remote configuration
• Google Gemini — for AI-powered clothing classification and outfit generation
• Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — for secure authentication

These providers have their own privacy policies. By using Lumera, you agree to their processing of data as described in our integration.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Firebase servers (Google Cloud). We use industry-standard security measures. Images are stored in Firebase Storage; metadata is stored in Firestore. Access is restricted to your authenticated account.

Data Retention

We retain your data until you delete your account. You can delete your account from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, we remove your profile, wardrobe items, outfits, body photo, and other associated data. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before being purged.

Children's Privacy

Lumera is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

You may:

• Access your data through the app
• Correct your profile and preferences in settings
• Delete your account and all associated data (Profile → Delete Account)
• Opt out of analytics by disabling it in your device settings where applicable

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Contact us to exercise them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on our website. Your continued use of Lumera after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
